Something about me? O Kay! I have recently moved to North Carolina from Oregon, and being recently retired,I find myself busier than ever. Photography is a whole new world for me and I am most grateful for your comments and time taken. Thank you.BIOWhere to start? First, let me say that I am a very young mother with very old children(4 sons), and my motto is "If it doesn't sparkle, don't buy it". I am either a 'new hippy' or a 'new gypsy',(the vote is still out on that). Let me say how much I am enjoying all of the wonderful exibitions of your talents. Thank you, May our gracious Creator, Jehovah, Bless each of you and your wonderful appreciation of His Creation.

Spectacular capture of natures wonderful patterns and geometries. If I am not mistaken, the web maker is sitting in the centre on the other side?

Yes, the spider is in there, on the other side of the thick web in the centre. Perhaps that course weave in the centre is a means of hiding from predators like birds that might want to eat it. In Australia we have a spider called the St Andrew's Cross spider which spins a cross in the centre of its web and then spreads itself out behind the cross to make itself hard to see. But I've never seen a web like this one. Great shot!

Wow... that is some impressive weaving!! :0)

OH MANNN...... every time I try to take a spiderweb picture, it doesn't work. Now I have to go find an itsy-bitsy spider and try to make him.... or her, do their magic for me. Spiderwebs rock........ literally, with a little help from the wind. This is way cool.

I see the spiders legs and looks to be a large one. beautiful web and capture. I have a small spider that weaves webs around my yard and the bugs that it catches ,it makes a perfect line with the empty shells. I always thought it was amazing that it would know how to amke such a straight line

Do you remember the old beatnik spider from the comic strip "Gordo?" Great capture. Perhaps it's a new "spider wife" redecorating her new dinne---(oops!) husband's bachelor net.
