Hi folks! This is something special. I make this at a 1024x1024 pixel resolution, and a real painter (with real paint and all) will paint this 1x1 meter. It is part of a series that mimics famous painters (famous in Holland), for a company that sells dishwashing machinery. It makes sense in Dutch. This particular picture covers magic realism, in the style of the Dutch painter Willink. Very mixed medium: I build the scene in Carrara 5Pro. Used Architools for the hotel, Poser for the woman, Baker for making normal renders of three trees (way faster than rendering real trees with GI and IL), Anything Goos, Shader Ops etc. And three skies from Mayang Textures. I did a lot of smudging in Photoshop on a 400% enlarged color-corrected version of the render. And after that I layered a couple of Studio Artist (by Synthetik) reworked versions of the picture upon itself. It looks like a painting. I think it took as much time from start to finish, so it counts as a bit of artistry, doesn't it?
