Description

Okay, a little experiment. Well, two little experiments actually, since I'm allowing comments this time; I want to hear what you all think. Please don't just kiss my ass, I want genuine opinions, and please don't troll, I want constructive criticism. This is only the second* time I've ever combined a photo of my own with a photo of someone else's and I think it turned out pretty good. I also noticed it's the only image in the "Mixed Medium & Macro" gallery. Huzzah. With my luck somebody'll probably post something there while I'm typing this so I look like an ass. Thanks for stopping by, and special thanks to zeafonso of stock.xchng for sharing their original photo. You can see it here. Adios! * EDIT: Just remembered "lava boil" so this isn't the first time I've merged my photos with other people's (in my defense, "lava boil" is pretty forgettable). EDIT: Took out a brain-related slur, sorry I didn't consider that before. EDIT: i shouldn't be assuming people's gender identities. i apologize. edited to fix that.

Hello my friend.... First of all i would love to tell you that as an expiremental post.. Yes you did really good.. First the main shot (THE FLOWER) is simple amazing and very impressive tho.. The Macro setting and the DOF/POV are fantastice with such lovely flower.. Second.. That little running lady (MODEL) is a cery nice idea as well.. I can see even that you did add her shadow.. Which completes the job.. Now about the manipulation part.. I would suggest in your next try.. To blend the lady and or any other used objects in the future about 1-20% depends on the background.. Here as per that vivid colour (RED-FLOWER) i would say about 10% will be fine. I also would reduce the opacity on the matrial she is holding floating in the air a little.. Seems to me it is SILK.. Which it should be about 20% transparance.. The reason i am telling you all this.. I just wanna see your best.. Again as a first try.. This is totally amazing specially the EXTRACTION PART.. You did a super job, extracting that lady from her background.. The edges are very well, and smooth.. So common.. Manipulate more superbe posts just like this and i am here watching you ;) Thank you for sharing your art with us my friend.. And i wish you a very happy day/night Regards and many respect JOE

Joe has some good points, but above and beyond that, FANTASTIC! The idea alone is quite imaginative.

I'm with Gimi. But I do know that I like the color and creativity. It's not something that I could come up with.
