Description

This is one of my favourite shots during my Iceland trip june 2006. The shot is taken in the Askja Caldera, and shows lake Viti, a warm lake on the foreground. In the back of the image you see a part of circular mountain ridge, forming the caldera wall. Actually the picture is a stitch of two shots. My wide angle lens wasn't wide enough...

That's an amazing shot indeed! I'd like to have it a tad bit brighter, but it's great anyway!

It looks like a terragen landscape or a fantastic landscape from another planet. Hard to believe it is real. Your full size view is top notch gorgeous... a wonderful photograph! My compliments!

@Planetscape: the brightness is OK on my Mac displays, but on my PC display it's a little dark. I'm afraid there not much that can solve this difference. I hope it will turn out right when printing. Somewhere in the coming week I'll upload a panorama of the plane that is just visible in the right of this shot. Thanks for all your nice comments.

Great to see it at this resolution as wel, and even more impressive than the smaller version. There is a typo (or 2) in your signature, though .... ;-)
