Description

Hello All~! I had to really work for this one with my pocket cam ! This little dam-sil guy was tiny --!!hmm.. might have even been a baby damsil cause it was an inch to one and a half inches long!..dunno cause i never saw one before! SO crept up on him slowly and was laying in the grass with both arms fully extended - streched out to reach ( hanging over the edge of the pond ,doing my best not to fall in and to be still and bringing my little nikon 7900 to almost water level as he was on a lily pad! got this about an inch away from him or her?( uhmmm do not 'er have no clue how determine the sex of THAT thar critter LOL!! ) Shot right before he was off!! so first one of a damsilly ( damsilfly on a lilypad =damsilly haahaa) ... have another strait shot of a lily and you can just barley see it at all..this one is hardly cropped ! * please view at full size looks best thanks! :O) Thanks for all you time and comments ! Love to you all! ((( Big hugs )) ~ ♥ ~kimmers ! :O)

Oh oh, lovely Damsilfly Kimmie, and very neat and rich in details on his head and body. I love it ! Maybe a little bit to overexposed on the tender green part, but it's a superb shot. Hugs

Hey Kimmers, that's what we old timers used to call "the wet belly school of photography". Nicely done and I'm proud of you!

Wow! What a great shot! These little creatures are so cute. Sooooo hard to get good shots of these. Your precarious position to take this shot really paid off. Well done!! :)

This is great! I know how petite these can be, and hard to get to sit still for the hand held camera. Your photo is most excellent!

Oh well!! I guess you are lucky to catch him with your little pocket cam kimarie :)) Those are one of the fastest you know that!! The shot is amazing and very well composed tho.. But i guess you over sharpened it abit!? My monitor shows the pixels specially on the edges and the lighter areas.. Not all monitors will show this tho.. But next time.. Use the sharp option once only and the second use sharpen edges if you use the PS CS2.. And i guess it is the same with any other program.. Other then that.. Still love the colours and the quality.. The lighting came really amazing so hugs from me to you for that amazing captured little creature honey Wish you luck catching them again, cause they are really awesome and makes amazing portraits.. Have a lovely day to you and your whole ANGELS GROUP :) JOE

WOOHOO! I knew you would capture one sooner or later. Nice shot indeed. The Nikon 7900 has it's limitations but with practice and perserverence, one can get some really nice close ups with it's "macro" mode setting. If your luck runs like mine, you will start capturing a lot more of these. I got my first on July 4th of this year and now I have dozens of images and about 5 or 6 different varieties. Not sure why but I ain't bitchin about it, lol. Congrats, I know you wanted this.

Astonishing!!!!! Wow..the detail is phenomenal. This almost looks like some kind of crazy sci-fi creature. The transparent wings against the lilypad almost have a metalic mesh look to them. What a brilliant and hard-fought shot. It was sure worth the effort. Amazing capture!
