Kool characters and scene...although the render seems very 2D and flat, if you add some fog this will help give more depth, and make the foreground dudes, Commissar and the Adeptus stand out, you also try adding a spot-light or point light to highlight them as well or banking the camera (not tilt)? just some suggestions, hope it helps ? cheers

I must have just missed this somehow. I like the 2-S effect of it. Makes it look like an Imperial Propaganda poster. I don't think you fell short. It's just an unusual composition.

I must agree, I don't think this image is at all lacking in stucture or content. Perhaps a wider view on the thumbnail and a derect referance to it being a 40K type render might help to draw that fan base but in general it might be noted that a great many of what I think are wonderfull images and or artists for that matter tend at times to get lost in the shuffle. The fast pace of some of the galleries, in particular I know the sci-fi one moves very fast. This is part of why I started doing wide shots in the thumnails so that one could get an idea at a glace of exactly what the image contained, at last that way people who don't have time to look at every image could at least decide right away if it was something they'd like to see up close. I suppose part of it's who'se on when a particular image goes up, and what other images it might have to compete with for viewing. Also remember that a fair amount of people will view an image without commenting even if they like an image, so silence does not neccessarilly mean no one likes it. In general, I like to believe in art for art's sake. To recieve comments, high number of views, good ratings, etc. are all nice to here and certianly can help a person feel appericated and perhaps more inclined to new creative indevours, but I at the end of the day, I think it's about creating taking a vision that you have and rendering, or drawing, or writing or whatever form of expression you use to give that vision substance. You should be proud of this peice, it looks great ^^

CrimsonDesire, Generally I tend to agree with you as well. I created this image because I actually appreciate the subject. But I admit I was surprised that it had not garnered a few more responses initially. The people I invited to see it were ones that had commented on atleast one of my other images in this series of Warhammer 40k images.

Looks like Shaun Connery playing the lead. Love the pic, well detailed and composed. More pic's on the way.... You've got me inspired now.
