Yes, it's a photograph, of a vine maple leaf taken last fall. I took multiple pics of it & this one was a happy accident. Too close to subject for flash & cast the foreground shadow. Deleted the extraneous background stuff & here 'tis. Love these digital cameras - take a zillion pics & occasionally you get these happy accidents. Rank amateur here but working on getting better at it. Thx f/ the compare to render. Haven't gotten into that yet but would like to - so much to do, so little time...
