I'm just a girl with a Nikon D90, who loves taking pictures of just about anything and everything. Postworking my images is 'my thing' .. The main programs I use are: Photoshop CS 5, Corel painter 12. I am currently laid off and seeking employment. I have been in the technical support field for the last 12 years and have really enjoyed the work. Not sure what I want to do now. I think it depends on what is out there and what is available. Competition is tough, there are so many out of work these days.
Anyway! I have been a member at Renderosity since 2004.Â
If you've read this far, I want to thank you for your interest. :) ShariLyn

Fantastic image, but I hope you squashed it when you were done! :)

Amazing. It's nice that you are shooting him instead of him shooting you! LOL

Soft, detailed, great composition. I think that's a crane fly, actually -- looks a little big for a mosquito and also it has to proboscis. I suppose it could be a large male mosquito (only the females bite). On a side note, have you noticed how nasty alot of female insects are? Not to apply our morals to them or anything, I just mean in terms of violence and aggression. Only the female mosquito bites, all soldier ants are female -- you don't even want to know the mating process of the female siafu ants, and I wish I could un-know it. But enough about my morbid fascination with insect violence, your photo is fantastic.

I also think it is a crane fly. Nice image of an interesting bug regardless of what it is, lol.

Beautiful! This has to be the most romantic shot I've ever seen of a mosquito (or crane fly!) :)
