Description
Just for the heck of it, and because I needed a break from what I was working on, and an idea hit me.
Literally. One of my action figures fell off the shelf, bonked me in the head and landed on my lap.
He turned out to be the inspiration for this texture pack I've started. And in the process, I discovered the wonderful world of DISPLACEMENT MAPPING! :D
This is an unretouched render of the set so far - still have to do the elbow pad (not sure what to do with it - I'd love to leave it out, but the pack would feel unfinished without EVERYTHING textured in some way), finish the gauntlet, make my own transmap for the hair and assorted tweaks throughout. Still you can see the direction it's going. Oh yeah - the magical effect is to be part of the pack too. It uses Netherwork's HeroFX figure so you can get effects like that with no post. Cool, huh? :D
Anyway, thought I'd share. Feedback welcomed and encouraged.
