Given its isolated location and the fact it seems more accessible from sea than by land, I wonder if this is a market FOR fish-people, rather than a market for people to buy fish.

I really like this, David. In the first place, your viewpoint is unusual, and that in itself is GOOD! The water treatment is excellent. Bird and barrel placement helps the cohesion of the composition. However, for some reason, I would like to see a tiny bit more drama.... perhaps a less "perfect" day. (You said, critical comments too... I could easily NOT have put it in.) Personal opinion only. Very good, original, creative... I like it. Let's see more! Best, Peggy
