I found an awsome image that was done by an artist at www.artbyfeng.com , I read his FAQ and It said that he doesn't mind if people make 3d models of his stuff as long as they give him credit. that said, I hope this does it justice.

Wow, I think he'd be very happy to have one of his works brought to life so well. This really is excellent work. As for texturing it, youre right it would be a hell of a job, but think how good it would look...
