Description

Lately my gallery posting have dealt with the few friends I have, this one is a stranger I hope to meet again. I needed to connect a few day ago but didn't want to deal with the tourists and ties that crowd the cafes early mornings for mocha-frappe-espresso-chinos. I wandered around the city trying to find a hotspot and ended up at Rachel's Kitchen. I hate having my back to a door so I ordered straight black coffee and sat in the corner by the front window. I probably scared away a lot of customers by staring at everyone that passed by but S-F-W. Only one person came in while I was there, a girl with fire for hair and enough metal to cause delays at Logan. I didn't have the balls to talk to her but she looked like she needed space to think anyway. I'm going to go back again and I hope to see her, maybe I'll get to know her name or at least she'll know mine... ~yoshi

Excellent painting yoshi. The green background and skin tones really emphasize the red hair. I see the woman working to make a decision, and more. There is always more revealed in your paintings. The writer in you clearly surfaces as you describe the people you come in contact with, even when it is only observing. You effectively communicate so much in a condensed version.
