Mars, using LW9's new Normal Mapping feature - I am seriously impressed with this! Please note that the full image is 2400x2400 pixels, to show you the level of fine detail this technique gives. Maps were 8000x4000 and reduced to 256 colour indexed PNG's, to keep memory reasonable.

saw this at newtek's galley..awesome..could you load a screen shot of your settings please, I am trying some thing similiar and can't get it to work and look right..Michael

cool planet. are the bump maps all textured images, or are they a combination of procederals.
