Description

In October my 3rd aniversary of posting freebies is comming up. Each year around this time I start work on a new freebie to celebrate this anniversary. The freebie is the smae size and quality as my market work. Meaning about a 35 meg zip jamed full of goodies that is available for a limited time. This year it will be "The Wizards Tower". Richard gets drug into this tradition since my creations stoped being my own when we joined forces. The textures are all created from shots by him. A third member of our team who seems to remain lurking in the shadows is BBarbs, she has sent me tons of referance shots to date that have been a huge help in both our free contributions and our market sets. I don't think I thank her for all of her help often enough. So thank you again :-) OK the set, it is like all M&Y sets a building set that allows you to create your own setting using teh Themed props. The tower it's self is created using slices. The floor is a slice, so are each wall pair. When a wall setion is loaded it loads the front and matching rear wall. This way they rotate around the center of the tower. This is a must since the tower is octaginal. Load a wall section and rotate it 0,45,-45 or 90 degrees and it will automaticly line up with the floor setions. Wall choices are Plain, Window, Door (all finished), still working on , Barred Window, Arrow Slots and Butress. Right now only the setions shown are done, including the ground which will be included. I still have to create a set of stairs, floor with trap door and a ladder. Some funiture and poses will also be included. I will not be suprised if this set hits close to 50 meg ziped when done. Rendered in Poser 6, no postwork. Fawne of the Wastelands by orion1167 shown to give a sense of scale. All props, textures, and renders done so far were done in the past 24 hours...I love it when a set just flies together.

OH you also have 4 choices for textures, Yellow Stone, Grey Stone, Old Painted Brick and Molded Bricks. It is all the texture choices that realy drive up the size of the zip.

Oh one other bit of triva, the tower setions are 12 feet tall and the tower has a diamature of 24 feet, poser scale. I also see I forgot to metion that there is a drawbridge also that I hope to finish today.

COOL! Beautiful tower, and from what I read it will be incredibly versatile. Wonderful work!

I love them...one thing though. Seems like most towers built like that back when towers like this got built probably didn't have nice big rectangular windows. Not sure if you're going for a certain timeframe or not, and I'm certainly not complaining 'cause it'll be free and it looks great already anyway, just thought you might want to consider it. :) Can't wait to see the finished product.

The big windows are simply an option. I now have 4 wall textures done and 3 new wall sections (since this am). The end goal is to be able to make towers from different times.
