Description

This image was captured on April 9, 2006, while passing through the Cherokee National Forest, in Johnson County, Tennessee, on my way to Damacus, Virginia. You can read more about the history of this area through the following link; Backbone Rock I couldn't help but think of the film "Brokeback Mountain" as I was hiking the area. Not that I could recall any one image from the film, as I haven't seen it yet! I'm not homophobic by any stretch of the imagination, it just that the movie doesn't seem like it would appeal to my tastes in movies. Now, give me a "Lord of the Rings," or "Pirates of the Carribean," or that type of film and I'm there! I adore action/adventure films! This image was captured with my trusty Nikon D50 outfit. Thanks for looking, have a most excellent day! A special thanks for your comments, suggestions, and/or rating.

Hey Troy, kewl shot of this road thru the mountain, I'm sure I would have pumped the brakes to stop and get this shot also. At 13'7 clearance I guess big truckers would really have to know the height of their trucks going thru this pass...A great weekend to you buddy! Aloha!
