Superb colour and moment - I guess your dissatisfaction with the shot just proves how much more discerning we all become as we progress with our photography. If you think the water boring why not crop it to a panorama with less water ;)

It takes a master to find "nothing" that speaks so loudly. Too often people make the mistake in thinking it takes "something" to be heard above the rest. I also believe that sometimes the artist is his own worst critic. This is a powerful photo in all aspects.
