Description
My First underwater scene. I'm trying to learn how to handle water- under and on the surface- so this was a learning experience . With Raytracing on, it took almost 12 hours to render. The Nautilus is from 3dHeaven with a new hull texture by me. The Octopus is from Content Paradise- their freebie for last week.
I could only find one turtorial for underwater scenes using caustics and it was for Truespace. So I had to adapt what I could and guess at the rest.
Any comments and suggestions would be welcome.

Very nice recreation of state-of-the-art cice late '50s SFX, when pools stood in for the bottom of the sea and models were 7' miniatures and not CG datastreams. By the way, the 20,000 leagues was the horizontal diistance traveled by Prof. Aronaxe and company aboard the Nautilus' last voyage.
