great shot! looks like a yard engine (0-4-0)? There is a restoration in progress of a steam engine at Altoona, Pa. where the rivets are being busted and boiler plate cleaned and/or replaced. Also a restored 4-8-4 J class Norfolk & Western passenger locomotive is at the Transportation Museum in Roanoke, Va.

Thank's. Your right vkoontz, it's a 0-4-0 I lost my notes on what company it was own. The museum out on hold the restoration. Too much body job and asbestos in the jacket and mostly a lack of volunteer. But they have some wonderfull engines on the site, a royal Hudson, a Fairbank Morse trainmaster (in working order) and several other pieces. (pictures to come) Those are at the Canadian Railroad museum located in St-Constant QC, Canada.

What a wonderful keepsake you've captured, with the dappled light and overgrown weeds framing the rusty shell of a reminder of a time fondly remembered.

A real, live (almost) saddletank! What a great find. Altoona, huh? Hmmmm. Not this weekend. Been meaning to head to Orbisonia, but things aren't falling in place. Altoona would be a quickish detour. Hope you got some more to post of other projects? ;-)

Love this shot. I wish that I had something like in my back yard to photograph people by. It would be perfect. My only nit with the whole thing is that I might have chosen different ISO or filter to get some color in the sky. I do understand that sometimes that isn't possible when you want to capture something different spur of the moment though.
