I love the flowers in the foreground - very apt to your title. The image really does convey a sense of the spectacular scale, even though some 1300 feet disappeared off the top of the mountain during the last eruption. Amazing, especially when you think of how much dirt that was - over a thousand feet of height. What an awesome view, though. Let's hope there isn't a repeat!!!

unbelievable depth of field in this beautiful shot! Who knew the sky could be this color? The capture of the darker blue mountain with snow against this azure sky, along with the great focus on the foreground flowers is just gorgeous. This one's a wall-hanger!

I remember when Mt. St. Helens exploded! I was in elementary school. It also was a great way that kid used to tease me too! But I always wondered how it really looked afterwords. Even in the devistation, it is beautiful and a place for wonderful growth! A superb image!

Our paths keep crossing! I was in Alaska when you were here, but I was on this very trail last week, taking very similar photos. Excellent job capturing all the colors, and the sense of the way the area looks now. Well done.
