Description

This image was supposed to be a "quicky", but became a two day hairpulling session. :P For some reason the size I had chosen and the best rendering options were just too much for my pc, so I had no other choice but to start all over again many times and try different settings. But hopefully the two days have payed off. (Oh, and my first Miki render aswell!) Credits: Curious Labs - Miki Hair - Quarker Hair-texture - Firebirdz & Eowyn Character - Mine Character-texture - OutOfTouch & Idler168 + used a python-script Enjoy and feel free to comment! -edit- Huge thank you to linkdink, for telling me about the nose! We have discovered that Miki's eyes (alone) have more polys than some figures... Hair is always a pita at this distance, too. Hope it was a good curve and most of all,, it's a fine result to be proud of.

How good I know those problems with portraits, it seems to be easier to render a full dressed person with lots of environment than a face and some hair. But however, this image is so lifelike and full of atmosphere, it was worth the effort!

Definitely one of the best I've seen. A beautiful, and very realistic face. The only thing I'd say is you darkened her nostril a bit with postwork, you'd pretty much have a photo.
