I went to the unemployment office this morning and there must have been a hundered people standing in line waiting for the doors to open. That is what made me think of the Great Depression. There is good news though. I turned on the news today and they tell me the economy is doing great.

Thank you for the wake-up call. Although, where I work I see it all 10 times over and I see both ends of the candle that's burning. "This train is bound for glory...."; or is it anymore?

"It's a RECESSION when YOU'RE out of work and it's a DEPRESSION when "I" am out of work. SIGH. Sadly, in Michigan, we have lost 1 out of 4 manufacturing jobs in the past few years. Then, we're told of 'how many' jobs have been created. Ah yes .... jobs.... like the TWO Wal-Mart supercenters in the same town nearby .... all paying a GREAT LIVING WAGE while they make BILLIONS of dollars. FOR SHAME, AMERICA, FOR SHAME, I say!
