The amazing colour of this Great Grey Owl always grabs my atttention.. For once the European birds are larger than thier North American birds and is our biggest owl however much of this is feathers

But i got sick from the dead rats and meat tho :)) So i gave it to the Zoo.. They said they hav'nt seen one like it yet and it was from the Middle East (DUBAI) i guess you know where it is..Sigh!

Excellent photo of a magnificent and dangerous bird. Please be very careful, when trying to photograph one of these in the wild. The late Eric Hosking tried to photograph a Tawny Owl (much smaller than this). She objected and took out one of his eyes. He would joke that it made it easier to focus, but I reckon that it's an eventuality better avoided, all things considered.

Incredible how this Owl is loved by us ;o))) He's really impressive. Never understood why they call him "Grey Owl" when you see all the colors, in particular in brown he has. Fantastic portrait Danny. HUgs
