Description

This was originally meant to be a more serene scene. I had the idea one night when riding to dinner with my parents. I usually drive everywhere, so having the opportunity to look around on the way was a little unusual for me, which is probably what made something so mundane catch my attention. Passing by an office building I spotted a single tree with several indirect lights shining up through the branches. I was awed by the simplistic beauty in that, and immediately my mind set about planning this scene in my head. Two of my initial viewers made the same comment about the finished product: "Reminds me of Alice" (the video game). I have to admit it came out a little more moody and surreal than I had originally hoped. I usually try to add a little fantasy to my nature images; something you probably wouldn't see in real life because it would be pointless, or financially unfeasible, hence the park walkway in the middle of nowhere. All in all, I think it came out pretty well.
