Description

I saw this train by this old building many times. I just did not have a camera or it was raining. I took this a few days ago in the morning with the sky a little haze. I know the sky is blow guess it was the haze as you see in the trees far away. Just find out a man was shot to death on this road around 3 in the morning just 2 days ago. The road is on the left of the building which you do not see. I have to drive this road every day to get home. Police do not know what happen yet. That the local news here. I did take a lot of photos in side this building and a lot outside. I posted some of them and they in my gallery somewheres. Some thought I photo a ghost in one of the photos. I may post some more of the building . May go back and photo some more of the building but I got to watch out now for I see shadey type people there sometimes. Not all the times but now with the shooting things to think about.[Crime here is up from the people from New orleans] thanks for looking and comments

This Diesel loco, in back-light, is very well photographed, with a good low-angle shot. The country decoration and bein enlightened give an idea of depth to photo leasing. Especially the size of the engine avoids with the eye of ragarder everywhere. It is a very beautiful photo composition. EXCEL

Jocko one has to be an optimist and have a sense of humor to drive away a big negative like an unsolved murder. God recommened the red heifer with neck broken and washed in clear water. (I think this is where the expression red neck comes from, not just Georgia red clay.) Trains with unmarked crossings can be very quiet and appear suddenly. (In our spinal cord we have three pathways and switching mechanism for signalling. That is how we gain or lose headway and rights of way.)

Agreed. Nice piece of engineering there, I'm always amazed that people manage to get hit by them though. I knew a guy who get hit by a train once, he was Ok because it just knocked him off the track. Said he was drunk and didn't hear it coming.

Interesting engine. Interesting story. All too common though... unsolved crime. All that aside, I have to wonder which road this loco is from. Nice catch!

Love this shot, Jock. These old diesels (geeps?) are great; real workhorses. The 'golden age' of train locomotives may be over, but today we are more reliant on rail freight than ever before. These babies and the folks that keep them running are some of the unsung heroes of our world... they keep the economy flowing. Great photo and story!

You capture such amazing/interesting things. Such beauty I find in this old train. And in old things in general. Capture them all we should because one day they be gone and we might miss them. Cheers Jocko I share your many interests also! :)
