I took this image from a pier but it looks like I'm flying low over the waves like a seagull. Well, I see it that way..

Well, your "like_a_seagull" story is a good (and acceptable) explanation why the horizon is ...not horizontal ! lol ! Simple but impressive seascape at sunset ! :~)
