Description
So I was amazed that glennn23 had his daughter viewing my work too, so this one is for her glenn, hope she likes it.
As the week draws to a close I post this rose as it's so golden and a stunning hope for the weekend.
No cropping in edit and the shadows and background are all from layering and filters - no manipulation. I know some won't like the negative space for a background but this was to highlight the rose and make your eyes take in all the details of it.
Hope y'll have the most wonderful weekend!!!

P.S. Tx to all that've been commenting and viewing the whole series - it really means alot!
P.P.S. Yaguar I would love to see that wet-rose shot!!!

P.P.P.S. My POF is on the outer etals of the rose - because I noticed that roses tend to die from the inside sometimes... And I used f/8.0 as not to create too much DOF but not to take too much away at the same time.

Nice but not as good as the previous photos in the series. You explained your artistic choice, so I don't criticize it. On the other way, the typography is excellent.

Tx for the positive point :)

Think that a dying rose can be such a beautiful object to photograph... I like it, the position of the rose, lightning and white background. But i think Dying White Rose 4 is the best one in the series. Have a great day! ;)

Vera, so sweet!!! I can't wait to show Maia her rose! I like your choices this time. After seeing your whole series I have a better understanding of how you are trying to balance the techniques versus the art in your images. That line between technical shots and artsy images actually seems to be a rather large grey area - and in that grey area there is a lot of room for experimentation. Throwing away tried and true techniques in favor of artful impact is definitely a risky way to go, but has always led to some amazing things. And as I said before, this seems to be the way you like to work so we will all be watching and applauding when you hit it! Thanks again sweet Vera! +++

Yes Glenn.. Vera is so more then just a sweet :) I agree with Jinet Vera :) hehe And i liked that you knew we might not like that empty space tho.. I can see the crop of the inner frame for some reason is off to the left. So here what you can do tho.. Renderosity uploading system adds 1 or even less then 1 pixel black frame.. Take off your typography from down there.. Which i love how you did it this time more then you can imagine.. and added to the top center splited with a center line.. Then it will become a masterpiece tho.. You still can edit the image and upload it back again.. Other then that!! What a dedi to little girl of glenn.. and that is so nice of you honey to think of others.. Love the Rose and the way it became extracted from the background after all the effects and layers as you mentioned.. Have a lovely happy day honey and will see you around.. JOE

very good shot. I play with the background with diff colors. Or slide in some scene into the background. like a dieing dog or something. A car wreak? But put the background just out of focus but not too much. just to see what happens. Be good for the mood. hope I make cent here
