Description

View From Cat Bells This panorama is from the top of a small mountain range known as Cat Bells. A pleasant but strenuous six mile walk with some hands and feet scrambling takes one to the summit - the return route being along the shores of Derwent water It is from about 1450ft up on the edge of the Cat Bells summit. To the left is the Newlands valley, amazingly flat at the top of which you can see Bassenthwaite water - the hills to the centre rear are Skiddaw and its buddies.Skiddaw being quite a famous mountain in the lake District. To the right is Derwent water and above it and between the lake and the mountains is the lovely market town town of Keswick. Eddie

I can't say enough about this wonderful photo. The depth of field is awesome - the clouds seem to hang in 3-D on my screen. The patchwork landscape is so scenic, cradled by the peaks. Love the incredible blue lake surface too. Stunning!!!!!

Excellent photograph. Love the balance of the water on the right with the green fields on the left. But I guess Im the only one not up on my international geography enough to know where the heck this is!
