Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

I love it too... maybe it would have been better with a sharp DOF but some reasons I like it like this... Excellent composition in B&W ! :~)

I love shooting with B&W film. There's nothing else quite like it. The blurred man is cool as he seems in a hurry in a peaceful world. :0)

Because his hair is a lot fairer than his outfit, the blurring makes him seem to be disappearing. See what I mean? It's like a ghost paying a visit to a little path he used to enjoy visiting. This has an otherworldy feeling to it because of that, and also because it seems that most images of the 'paranormal' tend to be in black and white. (That's usually to hide the fact that those are fakes, lol!) Very nice mood in this image. There is something very peaceful about it.

i really like this image and had the same feeling, as if he is a ghost walking along his old path...great mood. This picture is just as impressive as your gallery.

very cool crop, I love that you blurred him out. Gives a real essence to the picture :-)

I just love this in B&W and especially that he is walking down the path (and blurred effect is great too!!) Good tones and great sense of movement, well done!!

There's something very charming with b/w photos - I can realize myself that some of my renders look better in b/w too. I'm glad you posted this one, it's a beautiful shot, like a metaphore on what's really important...
