Description

TITLE: 3 Seconds REMARK: ...later we've found that "man overboard" - but it was only empty beer can... TECHNICALS: for this picture I've checked 4 methods of making rain react with volumetric light: 1-created starfield (Starbits), blurred it (GIMP), and applied as alpha image (interesting effect, but light makes elipse on the plane) 2-as above but applied as symmetrical lattice (scrapped - looks ugly) 3- created volumetric material "rain" (scrapped - volumetric light doesn't work inside volumetric material) 4- created one droplet as alpha image, multireplicated several thousand times and spreaded between camera and the ship (method used in this image) The ship can be found via: http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/freeview.mv?3DC_Model_Bank+pxsFB4CL6+1154011139 I haven't posted the platform model- it's not so useful and it's much bigger file. If anyone needs something like this, just let me know. Rendered in Vue4 no postwork (mean signature)
