Description

Unless he's very small. This is a sundial of a type I've never seen. Per the 'directions' one should locate a shadow from one of the little pillars on the scroll. This gives the time. I should add that the scroll contains many figure '8' diagrams to compensate for lots of celestial movement. It was worn, so I could not see if it worked. On a subsequent visit, at about 2:30 PM, I stopped by it to see where the shadow was --- everywhere except on the $#@! scroll. So much for antique science in this case. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

I painted a sundail numbers at on time at this school and I thought how that can do this and keep time. Looking at this is even more mind blowing. It keeps time and most likely the season the stars is up in the sky.
