Description

I would put the name here but can not spell it lol. But it one of the main ones in the middle of Lafayette and Baton Rouge. I had to crop it because of the guard rall of the longest bridge in the U.S. and second in the world. It 18.5 miles long. The clouds had a shadow over the swamp. What you see that look like land is not land so do not walk on it. You be under water. It stuff that grownds on top of the water. You can drive a boat thought it. This is on the wedding I went to today thanks for the comments

I believe this is the Achafalaya Swamp, eh? I've been across that LONG bridge many times. Great shot here, particularly from a moving car. That's one big *** swamp!

Nice panoramic capture, my friend. Pretty impressive. Looks like a vast golf course after a rainstorm. That's a part of Louisiana I never saw when I was in the Army down there. It looks pretty clean compared to what I had to thrash around in when I was stationed near Leesville and Alexandria some years back. I vividly remember the armadillos, rattlesnakes, coral snakes, mosquitoes, wild boars, ticks, chiggers, and gumbo mud. You gotta see the 1981 movie, SOUTHERN COMFORT, for a feel of the place.

I'm going to give the spelling a try, Jocko. I've driven the long bridge over the Atchafalaya Swamp and River many times. Great capture. I've seen gators as road kill along Interstate 10!
