So many things that you mention are also sound economically. But mostly, I look at the future that we're offering to our grandkids. Not a pleasant thought. I think the simplist way to express the point is to say, "Leave it better than you found it." It's universally applicable.

I agree 110%. It saddens me deeply to see captive animals displaying disturbed manic behaviour and people failing to understand their pain.

Well,I was going to make a joke about this being how I look before I put on my face cream, but now that I've read you it doesn't seem funny any more. You make an excellent point. If we all just do one small thing a day,so much can be accomplished.Beautiful shot,Nita...as always...and thank you for expressing your most poignant and important words.

I agree, it tears at the heart to see these trapped creatures. And to know how much we all take for granted the gifts of the earth. Moving to the mountains where we are so dependent on conserving and living with nature has and continues to teach me a lot. Strong shot and sentiment to match. CC

Very well done and amusing !!

Poignant photo & commentary & I agree completely. The obsession humans have with dominating & controlling nature, rather than coexisting as a part of a larger whole has had tragic consequences. And not only do we imprison other species for our amusement, but we also imprison ourselves in concrete & metal structures that cut us off from the natural world...
