Description

Howsit Everyone! Rushed down to the beach the other day about 15 minutes from my house to catch some Hurricane turned tropical storm surf. Waves were not very impressive, but every once in awhile one would roll in and catch me off guard. I used the "shoot and run" approach with this wave, not a recommended practice. And no, I had twinkle toes and didn't fall down on my retreat...I think falling down once this week into a stream no less, is enough. Still waiting for the big stuff to roll in....keep your fingers crossed. Many thanks for all of you kind comments on my previous shots of Waipio Valley...Do the best you can with the rest of the week! Aloha!

this one is breathtakingly beautiful. Curious as to what settings you used to get the water looking like that. I practiced this summer some with a little waterfall, and just couldn't get it right 100% - parts of the image would get too washed out .. anyway, great job .. one I would love to master myself.

Wow, Dave, the shutter speed is PERFECT on this one. Just the right definition on the waves. Love the low-lying clouds and ominous feel of approaching weather. Terrific capture!
