My name is Luis Conte, 42 year old, I live in Murcia (Spain)a very sportiv man all my life and now teach Physical Education in the university, I had studied Geography and History and Physical Education. After many years making pictures, but not really knowledge about that, I trying now to learn more seriously that. I love the nature, animals and the Macro world of pictures, very interesting POV. I learn many about the great pics i see in this web and also about the comments of others photographers put in my pics.

I agree with the rest great shot. I don't know what type of mantis this is but I've never seen one like this in NJ. I too love the world of macro, it helps to show us some of the tremendous beauty in tiny things that are around us every day. I'm on the steep learning curve as well,I always want more DOF in my shots. Keep reading articles on the web, I like the Nikonians.com web site, free to join and they have a very active macro forum where I've learned a lot. I'm sure Cannon has a similiar site as well but there are only so many free hours in the day. Keep shooting it's digital so the cost is right and you will only get better.

very nice job Luis, honestly i think the mantis is way more spectacular than the wesp macro IMHO (probably because its it not such a common species over here).
