Description

The image reminded me of a sci-fi paperback I read as a kid, these poses and outfits suggested a title of the book... "Distant Suns" This image was rendered in Carrara 5, with only one light. Poser couldn't even get passed the loading materials stage of a render without telling me to reduce that, delete this, switch to... it was only a Poser 4 render as well... so out came Carrara. Originally rendered at 3300x2000 pixels... it took 4 hours to do, and the skin is not great, hair rendered badly, polygons were not smoothed and the whole image lacks that crispness that Poser can give. Still to be fair I should take something from Carrara that looks great and render it in Poser... Thanks for having a look and commenting Deane Gees I'm getting confused with filenames tonight...

I like it a lot. I have rendered Carrara stuff in Poser and there were problems going that way too.

If you have the bucks,,, clone 2 more pcs. Link them up. Render this in minutes. That's C5Pro's little secret... This does not look as bad as you may think. Needs some specular, reflections,,, tlc (lol).

The pose is nice. Yeah Poser would die on this with ease. The over all scene would be better if it was crisper.

Rendered badly... yes - and no! The way this came out has something artificial what makes it interesting in it's own way, the figures look "statuesque", in fact the whole scene looks like those small fan-art-sculptures you can buy, but realer. So IMHO the "badly rendered" things make this image very interesting and special, it looks like if something artificial is about to become alive.
