Description

Her we see the father of the bride been led away after he give his daughter away. He not total blind but he needs help. He is deaf also. My niece told me a lot of deaf people will go blind. It just part of life for them. He is a real nice man. Plus you see the hire photo man working. Love to have his 12 meg. camera. Just the case is $2000. thanks for looking and comments

I love the juxtaposition of images! The "Pro" camera guy, blinding your camera, while the blind man exits stage right! Brilliant, couldn't plan that shot!

my hand must have moved for you can see a double here. I had a tripod but did not let the legs out. I just let it rest on one leg.

I think most of us take sight for granted. I sometimes try walking around the house with my eyes shut, and it is not a good feeling. I can only imagine how people feel that suddenly lose their sight. very dramatic capture

Wonderful photo!! I feel sad he will go blind also. To be deaf and the blind would be so hard. My prayers to your family. Thanks for sharing!! I know I will be more appreciate of my health by your family wedding. Thanks for waking me up a little!!

From looking at this, I got a strange impression that things have not changed so much in 100 years. Professional photographers still use flash illumination, young girls still get married, and their fathers still have to be led away from it all afterwards! Life goes on, except for those moments frozen in time by your camera. Thanks for sharing, Jock!

Sad story about the Dad, but I'm sure he was very proud this day! ;)

As we grow old we lose our senses. It is nice to know that people have worked out a center for such states and that there is richness in remaining there.

Great capture of a moment and a feeling/mood most would not get as attention is elsewhere!

I think the slight motion blur accents the father's diminished sight and the overall scene nicely. As Eric said, no way you could plan this one. Great capture!!

Really interesting shot. Going blind or not the father's being led away is symbolic of a lot of things.
