Description

When I cycled back an hour later the beach was standing room only. I don't know how the holiday makers can spend all day there in the blistering heat! These huts are the only shade and there is not many of them. Even Arthur has abandoned his lookout post by the gate and refuses to go outside.

"I don't know how the holiday makers can spend all day there in the blistering heat! " Because I paid for it (swear word), and I'm getting my money's worth! -- Dick

The heatwave seems to have ended over Northern Europe. Unlike Mary, I am not complaining, especially on those days when I have to wear long trousers and tie. I wouldn't mind just a little bit more heat on the weekend though :-))

I miss the beach. My poor feet yearn for salt water. Love those lil huts, they look like hats. Hope you have a cool day; stay in with Arthur! lol!

I agree, Rozanne, how can they take it. I did not make the beach at all, on the beautiful Fuengirola areaa. I just kept on my Caterpillar boots for my bad ankle, wore light but covering clothing, perhaps not as fancy as the Spaniards aaround me, perhaps, and kept in the shade wherevever possible. I also drank beautiful water and fruit juices whenever I could. There were always two 500ml botttles in my back pack and any supermercado was raided for more liquid on the way. At least riding your bike you would experience a certain amount of airflow to alleviate the soaring temperatures. Regards, John.

Funny is though to see a picture like this, stripped from the scorching heat it just conveys a, superficially seen, pretty mood. Fortunately you add the text emphasizing the hard conditions here!
