Superb! And couldn't be more true/timely. I just watched a documentary about Robert McNamara, and the war in Vietnam, it was haunting how similar many aspects were to this FUBAR in Iraq! And now things are falling apart in Lebanon and Afghanistan....bad news, and George the monkey-boy hasn't helped it one bit...

I like that you are making a statement I have been known to do that myself. However. I happen to agree believe it or not with zorares as unfortunately we are a bit stuck in a War we were mislead into. We started something we may not be able to finish and I do not agree with how or why we started it. But we must not just leave the Iraqis with the bag so to speak and let them plunge into civil war. Any moron who remembers the last Gulf war would have known the consequences of what bringing down Saddam and Iraq meant to the Middle East back then. Which was one reason we didnt, we pulled back only to suffer the same fate a decade later. And to further that, with no plan on how to exit successfully and leave an independent and free Iraq, which unfortunately means we muddle in mess we created. That said. I do however love this country and without us many countries that enjoy their freedoms (possibly your own) today would not have even existed without us or our support. I also support my troops, as they are humans, men and women just like us. I hope that they are being lead well and if not are following their orders with a moral conscience and not just drones. It is fantastic that we have a democracy here (That we helped spread to the world mind you). In that in two short years our whole look to the world can change and our administration will change (if it is not tampered with). And they will pick up the pieces and will have a fresh start. Tell me what country has not stumbled and faltered which one has not had some hand in oppression, war and famine and is without fault. There are none and not many of them have led independence, human rights or inversely is so harshly criticized for its failings. I do not want to inflame you and I know how you feel but If you know this country that is without a history of hardship or struggles you must live in Shangri-La, Nirvana or Utopia.

We are already in the Dark Age of American Rule. Islam is a very peaceful religion. Don't judge innocent muslims by the mistakes and warped ideas of some extremists. Remember that only a smal portion of the total world muslim population has extremist ideas. Before you judge Islam, read Al-Qur'an carefully, and you will see that those extremists who claim to be muslims are in fact no muslims at all. The word 'muslim' means 'one who bows to the will of God'. Since terrorism is absolutely not the will of God, those people do not qualify as muslims. America disgusts me; that doesn't mean that I hate every American. Most of them are only victims of the American government, just like the rest of the world. Oh and by the way: great picture!

It is sad what America has become. Hopefully, when Bush gets out of office we will elect a better president, but with all the corruption it might not matter. Awesome picture.

If you think the Koran is violent try reading the bible. It will make your hair curl

"There are no warlike people, only warlike leaders" - Ralph Bunche Although I feel that George Bush & his cronies in particular are morally corrupt, power hungry throwbacks to a less-evolved form of human being & I will continue to do what I can to ensure that his kind are removed from control of my government, I have no illusions that a more liberal, compassionate government will be able to provide a lasting peace. There are no innocent governments. As long as people believe that their beliefs are the only right ones (whether that belief is in islamic fundamentalism, christian fundamentalism, democracy, or anything else) & that it's their responsibility to shove their beliefs down the whole worlds throat, there will be no peace. The world will become a more peaceful place only when more people take individual responsibility for being tolerant & leading a peaceful life. War can only be justified when it's to defend yourself against a direct attack. A nation that starts a war under the pretext of wanting peace is either lying or delusional - lasting peace can never result from a pre-emptive war...

We lived two hundred years without bombing Iraq. Where was the dark age of Islamic rule then? In 1813, the British seized and burned THE WHITE HOUSE!!! Still President Madison saw no need to suspend the fourth amendment!! Indeed he thought JUST THE OPPOSITE! These neo-fascists are incompetent clowns. They constitute the greatest threat to our liberty since the Third Reich. In fact, the parallels are so close that the Term "Fourth Reich" may be appropriate. I currently have to show "my papers" up to ten times a day...how about you?

Mission failed, indeed. The mission was to put an end to terrorism, instead we have more terrorism. A new government? Certainly, when the current administration's term is over. What kind of new government? That's up to the US citizens to decide. Meanwhile we - not only the Americans, the whole world has a stake in this! - are up to our ears in the mess. And I agree with Vile, we can't just walk out on it, it would only increase the problem. "Where are the streets filled with moderate muslims protesting the hijacking of their religion?" Off-camera. It takes a certain kind of fanaticism to go out on the streets and make a ruckus. These moderate muslims (I estimate about a billion of them) don't have that kind of fanaticism. Did Catholics everywhere in the world go out in the streets to protest in the days of the IRA bombings? Did priests condemn the killings in public? Mission failed.

I love the image. It is simple and impactful. I am against fanatism in all it's hideous guises. I am convinced that if all the poor people of the world could get together and make the rules that everything would work out ok. We are in the problem we are in because of people who put an undue importance in money and power. It would not hurt to get rid of ALL ORGANIZED RELIGION either. I say bring the troops back home to America to guard our own borders and let the Middle East sort itself out. I protested both the IRA bombers and the British torture of IRA detainees. BTW I rated this image a 5.

Working on that new government thing. Thank you for your support. On your drawing, I would only suggest a slightly darker shade of red.
