Description

"We could ride the surf together While our love would grow In my Woody I would take you everywhere I go So I say from me to you I will make your dreams come true Do you love me do you surfer girl Surfer girl my little surfer girl" ~ select lyrics from Surfer Girl by the Beach Boys

One last giant pogo stick aerial photo before the weekend. While overall not as interesting to me as the previous two, I rather like the almost yin-yan compo of land and water. Man oversaturating and building -vs.- a more or less pristine looking ocean. And that pool right on the beach just slays me -- what is the point of a pool on the beach?!? ;] At the top left you can see the world famous The Breakers hotel of Palm Beach, Florida (thanks again Mr. Flagler). It is host to some very well known car shows including the Concours d'Elegance and the Cavallino Classic. Any car buff shouldn't miss them if they are in South Florida during the winter. Again, this photo is best viewed at full size for maximum detail. ----- Thank you for your prismatic comments on my last upload, Rainbow Waters.

LOL!!! A pool on a beach does seem a bit redundant....then again people exercise using treadmills as well when all they need to do is open the frontdoor and head on out into the big world. Beautiful photo and AWESOOOOOOOOME thumb!!!! Look at that blue water! Yuuummieeee!!!! Have a wonderful weekend Kort!!! #:O)

Why would someone build a pool on the beach? This strikes me as a Alice through the Looking Glass picture. One side is a different world from the other. Were you in a plane or astral projecting? Anyway, it's certainly an interesting photo.

Was this taken from a plane or a very high skyscraper ? Gosh it is amazing for me to see how populated it is there now. I havent been there since I was 5 years old and my grandfather had a place in one of the Palm Beaches, north perhaps. It looked really different back then. At least to me as a kid it did. Thanks for sharing this. It takes me back to that moment in time. Excellent shot.

Great composition, plus the nice ripple effect of the ocean and the surf hitting the turf.

Do people actually surf here? Interesting! Naturally, there are no jellyfish, horsehoe crabs, sand sharks, etc in the swimming pool. Unless the lifeguard at the pool is a S.P.E.C.T.R.E. agent, of course!
