a sincere tribute to prof tolkien indeed. the receding scene is very much in the style of his own illustrations.i love the luscious colours here and the mood of the whole scene. outstanding work and.... simply beautiful.

It has that dreamy otherworldly look Rivendell might have had. Like the painted style

A epic piece!!!! You wrote that a while back that someone helped you develop this technique. It is truly unique so I will understand if you do not wish to divulge the technique but I would love to know how you do this. Let me know even if it's just a few tips.

Wonderful view of Imladris, from the Bruinen? Faithful to the descriptions penned by Tolkien. FIVE STARS

Very well done. A good eye for texture manipulation and perspective. Fine choices on color and your increased haze as you look further away was more by you than settings in the program, it looks to me. Pasting, layering and blending is not easy. The only thing I would do is fix the tall trees from looking transparent. There are textures of the cliffs showing through the trunks.
