Description

Appr. 1990 oil painting, which took on a life of it's own, when I experimented with the landscape and all these skulls just crawled out from under the rocks, I had actually too much oilpaint on the canvas and tried rubbing it off and this is the result. The second frame is a 3D version, of the above and my first experiment with Vue 5 render engine. Cheers jif3d

impressive oil painting. I would like to start again but between fooling with Poser and doing fractals-no time. I would enjoy seeing more of your oil work

Wow!! These are both Excellent! I wasn't aware you were into oils. The skulls in the rocks were a brilliant idea. Great stuff there, Jeff. Of course the 3D version is in all ways up to your usual high standard! Super!

Very cool. So, what do you think of V5? And don't think I hadn't noticed all your skulls in the second frame. Very nicely done.

Both superb--and both gain digitally presented here side by side--oh, up and down. Check out the new avatar--really stripped down, after the last was suppressed for nudity. Guess they couldn't see the bikini bottom with their electron microscope.

WOOOOOWWW!!! You know how much I loved the original painting when you emailed it to me and I'm so glad to see you've posted it!!! When I fist saw it, I immediately loved skeleton rider patrolling these hills with skulls embedded in them. I thought you could imagine that these the were souls of men trapped in the earth and that they were screaming to be released; while the rider on the other hand was their guardian, making sure they could never escape! :))) And now the Vue version... OMG!!! SUPERB IMAGE!!! The 3D version of the rider is absolutely F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.!!! And I see that the skulls on the hills! :)) I hope you will use the in future images, he's awesome ;) I know you're only starting with Vue, but you could make the scene even more eerie and spookier by playing with the atmosphere settings like you do in LW. Jeff, Thank you very much for this wonderful dedication!!! :))))

Very cleverly created for a marvellous result. They have both got such different finishes that they look completely different. Excellent work.
