Description

Back with some scifi stuff again. The foreground architecture was made in Cinema4D using the usual set of primitives and booleans, with a little touch of Elefont for the letters. The background was a test to see if i could paint a decent city in Photoshop and i think it came out pretty ok. :) Hope you enjoy.

"Pretty OK"?! It's brilliant :oD Have you ever done any tutorials? I for one would pay good money to learn how you do any of the parts of your images. That background is simply amazing and I have no idea how to even begin to do anything like it. Your building of models is amazing, too, but it's the texturing that really makes your city scenes come alive. Please, if you've done any tutorials, someone clue me in. If not, then please consider doing a few.

your painted section is quite excellent. Congrats on that. The foreground modeling is up to your usual excellent standard. An inspiring piece.

That is absolutely spectacular. I can't even tell you how much your work has inspired me. I know I have a long way to go, but when I see something like this, I say to myself, "No, you have even longer". LOL AMAZING!!*****

It certainly did turn out OK, a blend of Blade Runner, The Fifth Element and Coruscent. Fabulous

As I'm afraid of heights, there's this certain feeling I get in the pit of my stomach when I've climbed a bit too high (anything over 6feet). This one gave me that same damned feeling. BRAVO!

Yeah, I'd say pretty ok. ;) The detail in both the 3D and 2D is staggering! From concept to finished image, absolutely incredible!

I can never get my booleans to look that good. They always screw up the mapping coordinates. Typical Rochr excellence. I noticed you get nicer comments here than you do over at CGSociety. I guess they're harder to impress. ;o)

Your modesty sometimes gives me the creeps...:) Pretty ok...man. rolls eyes CG talk maybe harder to impress but it's their loss really, since they also tend to shut their eyes from sheer excellence, something to seem to master like little others. Thank you for this great inspiration, and as always I'm looking forward to your next piece!

You're finally back with the stuff I love! Great walkways along with cables, mats and all. Yes, it may be cool to climb up that building to join that bar... if they had an Adelscott beer I could spend my night there. Meet you at Ozone Club :)

This truly looks like a scene from Blade Runner, the immense details and lighting is first class, the modelling and textures are wonderful and the overall scene Rochrs, Top stuff, most excellent Sci-Fi render.

If ever there was a person that truly deserved the title of 'Master of Cinema 4D' it is you mate. This has got to be my favourite piece of yours. This has the look and feel of a professional industry standard matte painting. Excellent work. Thank you for sharing and inspiring others onto greater things. I think I can safely say that I, and others, would love to see some of your WIP shots.
