Having difficulty getting my water to look right..
looks funky where it meets with the sand..

a little post work would take care of that but there should be a function in Terragen to correct it. very realistic terrain and water/sand

Nice one! may be you could try to lower direct sunlight effect to values around 3-5%, usually lover that value gives a nice reflection gradient. About the surfacing you could try to use some sand overlays or 2-3 more horizontal layers to give more "depth" to sand

This is great... small suggestions for your water and it's reflections: Try these settings: Water roughness: 5 wave size 150 , wave variation 180, patch size 900. reflections: direct sunlight 0 or 2 and spread 1 or 20. Those are the settings that usually do well with a glorious sunset like this. :) Beautiful POV, love the simplicity of the surface and an excellent shoreline itself...
