Description
Here is the full set of Aces with the back of the card which formed part of an "extra" homework assignment on Janet's UF masking course. This image was created and rendered entirely in Ultra Fractal 4 and has 263 layers, including the masking layers. It was resized and signature added in PSpro.
I posted the Ace of Spades yesterday - which can be viewed HERE - you will se more detail of the textures etc used in that.

Amazing homework! I love every detail! I have the greatest respect for those who were brave enough and talented enough to attempt that extra assignment! :)

263 layers??????!!!!!! I can't breath... You must have a strategic mind to master them all, apart from an artist's skills. Congratulations.

I don't think I oculd be more impressed! The detailed textures and outlines of each Ace, the mandy-masked card back with such an elegant design, the subtle drop shadows - this is a wallhanger for sure!

What a masterpiece, Tina! Love the rich coloring and perfection of it all. The touch of yellow on the whites adds a wonderful antique vibe.

You did it!!! Amazing. I simple can't imagine working with so many layers. Totally beyond my ability. How long did it take to render? My compliments for your marvelous work.

Very elegant design! I am lucky that you did not participate in last month's challenge, which was a fractal collage, and I had entered with a variation of the card game challenge in Janet's masking course as well! How could you still work with so many layers on? Did you work on blocks and put them together in the end?

Nada - yes, I made each card separately first, then scaled them down and dragged each layer of each card onto the background for the set image. I'm not sure that I would attempt such a big project again though as I found it a very laborious process! Tina

Awesome work, Tina, and an amazing accomplishment!

Well done. The thing that really catches my eye is the centre piece and the soft shadow behind it. The colours and soft texturing adds to a real 3D feel. Working with so many layers is truely hard work and I sympathise with you. But once in a while it's real worth it - your hard work has paid off. A wonderful piece.
