Description

Most of my flight last week was overcast, but at the beginning I was treated to this view of Mt. Shasta, from seven miles up and about a bazillion miles away. Captured at the limit of my 432mm lens.

I love Mt. Shasta. I have seen it closer up though and maybe you will too. It is a very sacred spot for those who believe. Good job.

Who is it who said, "most gods are better viewed at a distance?" My last trip to her slopes, I brought home a big ole block of the black volcanic glass from which she is constituted; it graces the entrance to my home.
