Description

When the Meyers Bros. Deep Space Mining Co. left this small inhospitable planet they took everything, leaving only the building structure...or so they thought. Of coarse every decontamination and sterilization process was approved, monitored and signed off by the quality control office. Besides they thought...if they missed something it could not possibly survive here in this wasteland...this forgotten outpost. They had raped and purged its wealth of minerals and now useless they left it alone...forgotten. Except...every sneeze...every toilet flush...all the vile filth of human existance could not be washed clean. Minute germs, virus's, bacteria and all forms of microscopic life not only survived but, thrived. They evolved and mutated into unrecognizable forms resistive to human immunity. This forgotten planet would not die...it patiently awaits the return of man....

More!! Your sky looks great even through the patiently waiting green haze. A beautiful lure perhaps? A La Venus fly trap? Thanks for sharing

Reminds me somewhat of Ray Bradbury's "The City"- waiting for its final revenge against mankind. An awesome image- superb surfaces and colors. Excellent Mark!

Very cool... great ringed planet and engaging narrative! Amazing textures too... interesting POV, good color harmony and asymmetrical balance... nice depth of field. This one seems to have it all! Great job!

A very cool and yucky surface; full of germs and viruses..but an ultra-AWEsome terrain, view and composition. Love the gigantic planet and ring. Exciting and excellent artwork! And a great story!

this goes into my faves!! i am impressed by the surfaces as they look vey crisp in the large view! - the cracked surface with green mucus loooks amazing - the buildings sorta look like abandoned multi storey car parks - and boy they look good too! i like what you've done with some postwork to the background terrain and the planetary postwork always looks spot on! excellent job on this - i can tell you like it by the narrative!!
