They are still here. We just call them birds now. This is one talon of a most unfortunate Scarlet Tanager that flew into my wife's car while she was on the way home from work on Monday. She went back pick the bird she thought it might still be alive, nope. It is a beautiful bird I

I was particularly drawn to this photo since I am a wildlife artist and I was very curious to know the type bird it was attached to. Wonderful shot and very clear. If you know much about the construction of one of these songbirds, you know that this is a perfectly detailed capture. Very well done. Great POV.
