Description

All is "safe in the harbour". The ruins of Whitby Abbey stands a'top of all, as if guarding safely all beneath her. Full moon on the ninth, get clicking ;-) My kind Knight post worked this shot for me, put me in the picture. Can you spot me??? Sorry the sky is light, it was the sky God gave this day! New computer is up and running... Such a relief. Thank you for looking and for treasured comments. It looks as if I can finally post my notes/caption where I want them to be!! Good old mac OSX!! It has been a long time for me waiting.....since RR change over. Hugs to all. Diane.

Diane, is that you in front of the truck in the foreground? Otherwise, you are well hidden to these old eyes. I do like the photo. Fine work. Thanks.

So nice to see this beautiful harbor, and such a terrific photo. I'm glad your new computer is on-line. I know it gave you some moments of grief. But now we can all enjoy your wonderful photography.

Instantly recognisable place - everything about the town is so photogenic it seems. Well captured and processed.

This is not the same abbey which was featured in Bram Stoker's Dracula, is it? Incredible contrast between the (relatively) desolate skyline and the busy harbor and village!

@ Denger, yes you are spot on right. Indeed it is the same Abbey of Bram Stoker's writings.. I have a couple of shots in my gallery of Whitby Abbey. It is truly an awesome place, Good night and hugs Diane.
