Description

Hello!!! I have to admit, this is the type of shot I've been wanting to do for a long time. Of course this one is the only one this close up that actually came out clear. *sigh* Anyway, no, it's not perfect, but I'm excited about it. LOL Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my last upload, Strange Flower. I appreciate it so much! And thanks to Short Ribs, DanaB, and Busi2ness (sorry, I don't your real names yet) for helping out with the identity of the flower. Apparently it is a "Pincushion Protea". Very unusual and fascinating flower. Thanks for visiting my big fuzzy polar bear and I hope you all have a wonderful day!! :) EDIT: I almost forgot, I'm making a screensaver of my zoo animals to sell on my site and I want to get your opinions on the framing and the text at the bottom. What do you think of this format?? Please be honest....especially if you don't like it! LOL Thank you!!

Thanks you two!!! And just so you know....this shot was not cropped at all. This is how it came out of cam....a little sharpening (not much) and a little contrast adjustment. Oh and one more little adjustment....there was a fly on his nose that I took out because it was distracting. Sorry I forgot to say that in my post. Not enough coffee this morning. sigh ;)

Excellent. Polar bears are impressive on their own but you've done a great job with pose and lighting of putting it in its best form.

Excellent lighting and colour and well composed. The framing looks fine to me and practical if it's black or dark. Keep in mind that if you use it as a desktop background too, that the task bar in Windows may obscure part of the bottom line text and may influence the visual appeal - in other words, just leave a bigger margin at the bottom so that the task bar will display directly underneath the text. Good luck with the marketing!

Very well composed shot. Polar bears can be difficult subjects to photograph, they don't tend to pose well! FIVE STARS
