Great work, andrewl--the figure's pose is definitely the highlight, and it really gives what could otherwise be a normal or ordinary scene a mood, some energy and emotion. Perhaps you could shift the boat to bring her closer to the viewer, forshorten and compact the ship in proportion to her, and thereby emphasize your focal point? I love her outfit, hairstyle, and the birds.
